Kevin Jagernauth为多伦多影展TIFF写的评论得我心：It’s a thriller without a ticking clock, and a drama juggling religion, illicit relationships, moral corruption, and spiritual hypocrisy with a framework that’s too slack even for the aesthetic accomplishments to bridge.

I probably expected more from Brazil arthouse but this leans more into the genre film realm with a tried and true style and formula (3rd world thriller as opposed to the western ones, zero in on the common theme of how poverty drives one to do the unthinkable yaliyada)
