The historical discussions were more interesting than the snippets from contemporary political life. Sample bias (let alone staged acting) is always a suspicion. Even the theoretical discussion was not meant to be complete. Rousseau's "positive freedom" was praised, but its implications, as those eloquently argued by Hayek and Isaiah Berlin, were not adequately discussed in the movie.
