3.5星，虚构角色嵌入历史宏大叙事倒是比单纯拍贵族间的恩怨爱恋好看，但好几个高潮处理的挺磨叽的，比如跟阳台上自我感动半天才准备下楼……十分不喜开头lesson，结尾照例一分钟营救。丽莲姐妹真可爱，不过最养眼的还是Joseph！！！（于是评分入进去了）

以法国大革命为背景，丽莲·吉许和多萝西·吉许姐妹主演。虽然革命了，可最终还是贵族的生活幸福啊。"Orphans of the Storm" ranks one of the best of the DW Griffith silents, and one that should still hold interest throughout, particularly its story that plays liked a chaptered serial.
